The focus of GMM (Global Mobilization Ministries) is
· Linking Ugandan Christians with mission opportunities in the Western (reached) world.
· Identifying Africans working in strategic places among strategic peoples.
· Mobilizing Ugandans and others to work with the Africans involved in our Mission Network.
· Coaching Mission Leaders in our Mission Network.
· Networking with other key mission leaders in Africa and around the world.
· Equipping Christians with specialized skills for outreach and ministry in the regional context of Eastern Africa.
· Training Ugandans to use Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) as a practical ministry tool.
· Training young adults with Biblically-based leadership skills.
With enough resources, our dream is to offer:
· Two Nehemiah Leadership training conferences a year.
· Two short-term mission trips in eastern Africa for on-the-job cross-cultural mission training.
· Three cross-cultural training seminars for practical ministry in Eastern Africa.
· Consultations with Ugandan dioceses to make mission mobilization part of their diocesan mission strategy.
· Networking opportunities so Ugandans have leadership opportunities in the Anglican Communion.
· Mobilizing Ugandans in mission as English teachers within Uganda and greater eastern Africa.

“There are encouraging signs from Senegal, to Northern Nigeria, to Mali…the Kingdom is advancing mostly because of the work of African missionaries. The Holy Spirit is moving in great power in Northern Africa. On the border between the Sahara Desert and Christianized Africa is an area known as the Sahel. People in this part of Africa are very responsive to the Gospel.” Fred Markert, Director of Frontier Mission for YWAM
“The twenty-first century will witness one of the greatest harvests of Christian mission ever… Much of the energy for this will be centered outside the West. Africa, south of the Sahara, will become the Christian continent… Both Africa and Latin America will intensify and expand their evangelistic efforts in the West.” Richard Foster, author of Celebration of Discipline
“The opportunity for the American church to partner with believers in the southern half of the world is a great new opportunity! That is why I am so enthusiastic about Alison Barfoot's call. I have watched Alison for years, and she is one of the outstanding leaders I have met: gifted, dedicated, with a passion for God and the gospel. I urge you to support her with prayers and financial gifts ... and through her the church in Uganda! It is an opportunity too big to miss!” Leighton Ford, author of Transforming Leadership
“SOMA/USA has worked with the Church of Uganda since 1986 and we can testify that the church in Uganda is ripe and eager to be used by God to bless the nations. Alison is the definitive “living example” of a strategic thinker. She not only produces inspirational ideas but is able to organize and lead others to flesh out the application of those ideas toward the furtherance of God's Kingdom. Alison is a great leader with an even greater vision!” Edwina Thomas, National Director of SOMA/USA
